Abstract: Due to the digital revolution, new software and tools have been developed by many companies, organisations, and higher education institutions, which have created a level of ease in automating our systems. For institutions, various software solutions offer a wide range of features, including automation, online data management, collaboration tools, planning tools, videoconferencing, plagiarism detection, language learning, and many more. It has been found that the number of software and tools being developed every day is increasing; therefore, it is essential to choose and install specific software from various resources. The quality of software is dependent on the process followed; therefore, it is necessary to investigate its different features. The risks associated with software include data security breaches, unreliable backup systems, compatibility issues, system glitches, poor user interfaces, and a lack of control over the system. In this paper, an attempt has been made to provide information about the different software and tools that have been used recently in educational institutions.
